We all have that friend who will listen to your problems whenever you need and will try their hardest to help you when they can, that person is me. I’ve been called at 11 at night and talked for hours due to a friend feeling down, I’ve had long conversations to help someone decide whether or not their girlfriend is really right for them, I will help you in an instant if I can. I’m the one who is generally indecisive with decisions involving other people because all I care about is if they are having a good time. Countless times I’ve been told by others they enjoy hanging out with me because I make them relaxed. I love Taing because I know that their workload is impossibly big and I want to be able to help all I can. All of these things and other little habits of mine add up to an image of selflessness, humanity, and sociability which are traits that I do possess.
Whenever asked what my favorite subject is, I generally answer mathematics; the reason for this is because math is a subject I truly get and have fun with. The equations and patterns are things that give me so much joy when they are figured out; the concept of having a specific type of answer you are looking for and can get if you follow some simple rules is mind blowing. My completion of calculus last year maintained my record of never receiving below an A in the subject. Math is something I’ve such a passion for and am planning to pursue later in life.
When it comes to thinking and reasoning skills that is something I can do well. As seen by my love for math, I love trying to solve problems. I am one for looking at a person and trying to figure out why they are acting how they are or what is wrong with them. That is part of the reason why I enjoy classes my fellow learners do not, because I can see what it is trying to teach and what new skill is being given. Such an understanding comes from questions such as “why”, “why would we do this”, “why are we being told to do this”, “why is it important” floating through my head on a constant basis. Whenever I am faced with an issue I try to stop for a second and figure out what is the best to do next in order to help myself and those around me.
So I want to be a math teacher, and one of the reasons for that is because I enjoy teaching others and seeing when they finally understand an abstract concept. I enjoy working with and meeting all types of people because everyone is truly different, everyone has their own story to tell and those stories truly fascinate me. I love working together with people and using whatever skills they posses along with my own in order to create beautiful things and pieces of work, that is honestly an experience I find so fun.
I am a child who grew up in the 21st century, technology is a second language to me. I know how to discover and learn what I don’t know on it, how to use it to my advantage, and how to simplify simple tasks with it. Technology is a tool to simplify life, and I know how to use it.
